Network Marketing, the Internet and YOU!

If you’ve been around for a while you’ve likely been offered the “opportunity” to join one of the many Network Marketing opportunities available today. Almost all of them, down to the very last program, tells you to build a list and share this hot opportunity with everyone you know.

For many of us, that’s where the problems begin!  First of all, we often don’t have a huge circle of friends and if we do… they’re most likely just as broke as we are and they’ve known you for some time and wonder how you suddenly became a “business mogul” and they brush you off like you were carrying the plague!  So you shuffle off with your tail between your legs and ask your mom and dad or your Aunt & Uncle to join your business…

Of course this is not the way if goes for everyone or these businesses would not be as successful as they are.  So how do they do it?  How can YOU do it???

After all, Network Marketing IS the way to go if you want to build a true Residual Income!

In today’s world, the internet offers us a far greater reach to do our marketing outreach.  It allows you to tell your story and reach people who are looking for what you have to offer.  Additionally there are programs that teach you how to do this in a skillful way and at the same time… market tools that ALL networkers need for their online marketing efforts (to succeed and profit) so that you can pay your way as you go.  In other words, you create a “self liquidating” advertising campaign.  Now when you compare that to what it would cost you to do a PPC campaign on Google… it’s a win-win situation.

So how do you find a place that teaches you how to do this?  My thought is nowhere but with the team at MLSP!  Three young guns met and were discussing how their individual methods of business were working. Tracking your advertising for the best results.

If you’re not TRACKING your advertising, you are really wasting your time and money.  I had heard that for Sooooo long and totally ignored it.  Are you doing the same?  If so, take a few minutes and really get with this alternative that can really pay off for you.

Here we go so get ready to learn.  Turn off ALL your distractions for a few minutes, lock the door, turn off your phone and pay attention.

What is TRACKING?  Simply put, TRACKING allows you to know, visually with statistics, if your surfing or advertising is getting you results or not! If you read my Surfing page you know that I follow TrafficHoopla.com because they report which Traffic Exchanges give the best results for the week.  How do they know? They TRACK!

Here’s a quick example. I go to my tracker software and tell it to create me a link for my Traffic Hoopla affiliate link.  When I get that link, I use it on all of the ten top websites that are on the top-ten list from Hoopla and I use that same link on the top-ten sites from Affiliate Funnel.  Then I surf my socks off!  After a while, I log in to my tracker software and view the statistics for my Traffic Hoopla link.  It tells me, at a glance, how many cliks I’ve had from my surfing and IF there have been any conversions.

If you are buying credits on ANY website, you should be tracking what you’re advertising there to see if that is the BEST place to be spending your money.  Here’s why… Let’s say you have three places you want to advertise and you buy 1,000 credits on each of them.  You set up a tracking link for your campaign.  Then you use that link for your promotions on ALL THREE sites.  Yes, the same link.

Then you click to start the campaigns.  At the end of the 1,000 credits, you can see at a glance how many actual clicks you had on your exposures on these sites, how many actual exposures there were for the 1,000 credits (because some sites charge you several credits per exposure) and most importantly you can see if you had any conversions.  Now, do you start to see the value of Tracking?  Why I waited so darn long is totally unexplainable… but now that I know, its tracking heaven for me!

Tips for Boosting YOUR Business in 2010

It’s the time of year when many people take a moment to write what are typically called “New Year’s Resolutions.” Unfortunately, shortly after they’re written… they’re often put aside and forgotten.

What if you wrote four or five workable ‘resolutions’ for YOUR business and then implemented them? How would that change the way YOUR business works? I’m betting that the mere fact that you were seriously “doing something effective” would make a huge difference anyway…

So, what will YOUR resolutions be? Getting more Leads? Getting more Traffic to your website? How about converting more traffic into sales? Or how about a HOT product to sell? Maybe one you don’t have to “pack and ship?”

My goal here is to get you thinking. Thinking about YOUR business and ramping it up so that you can be profitable in the coming year(s). The best tips I can offer you are not some huge revelations that have not been shared before… so take hope! Like me… who had heard these things for a long time before I finally “got it” and began implementing what works!

So, What Works??? … you ask. In my mind… lots of traffic to a page that converts is at the top of the list! And just HOW do you get lots of traffic? There are many ways and your choice may depend upon your finances… so we’ll discuss some of them here and YOU choose.

For those who are challenged financially… there’s always FREE traffic from Traffic Exchanges. You simply join a Traffic Exchange, post your page(s) to be displayed to visitors to the exchange, and then you click through the pages the exchange shows you… and IN EXCHANGE (thus the term – Traffic Exchange) for doing that… the exchange shows YOUR page to the other members. I find it helpful to join a number of exchanges and promote my page(s) on all of them. Then I surf a group of them at once (described as tabbed browsing) and gain a much wider viewership and exposure to my page. The use of Splash Pages that display QUICKLY is most important for much success on these Traffic Exchanges. Make sure to capture a name and email address and having a timely “Giveaway” to make it worth your page visitor’s while to give you their information.

If you want to know WHAT Traffic Exchanges to use… There are two lists that I always look at to see where I should be surfing and those lists are at Traffic Hoopla and Affiliate Funnel. These two lists update weekly and you’ll find both of them posted on my Top Traffic Exchanges page. This page is updated regularly so you can BOOKMARK that page and see in an instant how your favorite Traffic Exchange is ranked today!

Another great way to get TRAFFIC to your web pages is through blogging. If your website is hosted by a company that gives you a CPanel to manage your server space, “One Click” of your mouse will set up a WordPress Blog for you in just a few minutes. Of course you can spent time and money “fancying up” a blog but that is NOT necessary. What IS necessary is for you to make regular posts about what YOU do and what you’re promoting online. If it’s pills and potions… write some short posts about the latest one, how to get it, what it’s purpose is and how YOU benefit from it. Keep in mind the new FTC regulations and don’t say anything that would get you in trouble. If you have any doubts… there are LOTS of sources for legal counsel and I am not on that list! But get some solid advice and in plain language… don’t lie, don’t stretch the truth… and medical claims are a quick way to trouble.

Maybe my choice of examples was not the best… but everyone today MUST begin being TOTALLY honest and truthful in their advertising. Often, you’ll find that “less is more” in cases where you would wonder if you should say something… or not!

All That Said… blogging is picked up instantly by the search engines. Bold your Key Words. Hyper-link one or two of them to your main web page. Then, post your article. Double click the title of your article and then copy the LONG URL you see in your browser bar. Now, go to http://bit.ly and shorten your link at bit.ly. Take your shortened link and “Tweet” it on Twitter to your following.

What, you don’t have a Twitter Account? Shame on you! (my opinion…) You have 140 characters in which to make a short plea and then share your bit.ly link.

So how does all this work???

1. You Tweet the short link.

2. Your followers read the Tweet and click your link.

3. If you’ve posted an interesting article, they’ll see the bolded keywords and hopefully click them…

4. That takes them to your page and if your offer is good and your “FREEBIE” is attractive enough… they’ll want it enough to give you their name and email address for it!

5. If you have an Autoresponder Account (I use AWeber.com) your form will do all that Double Opt-In stuff that makes your lead capture legal and then your autoresponder series of at least seven to ten messages can “Tell & Sell” them on the virtues of your product and why they should buy it!

Wow… I had no idea that I had so much to share about this subject and I’m just getting warmed up. If you’ll check back in a few days, I promise to post a few more tips on how you can get MORE FREE Traffic to your website and hopefully create more conversions.

Thoughts for your weekend

Another weekend is upon us, a month is ending and a new month is starting.

In my marketing world, weekends are work days!

Weekends are the days when everyone that’s anchored to a desk, a computer, a saw, shovel, hammer or other tool can break free for a couple of days and act like they’re in charge. But are they?

Most would love to be… or at least that’s what they say.

But, when I offer them a plan for actually “taking charge” and “firing their boss” I sense all kinds of “shields” going up around them.  Why is that?

It is my firm belief that they do NOT believe that they could actually handle being in charge!

Most who read this will scoff and tell me I’m wrong.  They’d say… “Give me a chance to show you!”  And when I offer a real opportunity with a plan for doing just that… they run the other way or make excuses as to why they can’t do it right now.  Catch me on a different day… they say.

So what’s your thing?

Do you want to stay chained to that desk, or whatever it is you do for way too many hours each week for way too little money?

Or do you want to “Break the Chains?”

There are many opportunities that you read and hear about on the internet and sometimes from people you meet in your daily life.
