Upgrading your Blog

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not… but this blog has been using one of the VERY early versions of WordPress for a long, long time!  It’s actually version 2.0.4 and I really do want to upgrade.

Why haven’t I upgraded sooner?  Would you believe I just did not know how?  Actually I knew which links to click but… what I did NOT know (and I knew that I knew that…) was how to back up my database.

So, I’ve put it off and I’ve put it off… almost forever!  Now, I have a client who’s blog is also out of date and I needed to update it pronto… and I still had not learned how to backup the database.

How to learn?  Well… I made a telephone call to the BLOG EXPERT himself… Mr. Mike Paetzold and asked him.  He was really friendly and I got an answer that I can share with you today.  Just watch his video on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLVgl5wTU8Y and you’ll find all the how to information you’ll need to get the job done!

If you check back in a few days you’ll likely find that this blog is updated to the current version.

Thank you so VERY much, Mike!
