Organize Your Own Internet Marketing Seminar

If you’ve been focusing solely on the “target market” you could reach online, then you’re probably missing a big piece of the total market share.

The World Wide Web can be a very big place, but let’s face it. More people are actually not interested in marketing on the Internet compared to the number of people who are regular web users. You may be servicing a bustling segment of the online market today, but how long would it take before that segment of the market becomes saturated? And even if new people are logging online, on a daily basis, you will have to compete with other internet marketers for their valuable attention.

So, how do you increase your market share? How can you ensure a more profitable business for your online enterprise?

One approach which has yet to be exploited, to any extent, is organizing local internet marketing seminars. These are workshops, symposiums, conventions and even boot camps that aim to teach people, live and in person, the real possibility of earning a living online, and the fundamental steps that should be taken to ensure the same.

Conducting internet marketing seminars can be profitable on so many different levels.

* You’d be able to tap into the offline market and bring them online.
* Your audience would find you even more credible, as they won’t have to rely on written words alone. They will see and hear you, live and in the flesh, and this could effectively eliminate the hesitations usually caused by the anonymity provided by the internet.
* You’d be able to build your brand as an expert for being able to organize an event like an internet marketing seminar.
* You’d be able to promote your own products, more effectively at that because you’d be able to tell your audience about it in person. Remember: Seeing is Believing for the majority.
* You’d be able to build a battalion of committed affiliates since you’ll be able to interact with your prospects directly and in person.
* You’d be able to build great relationships, which could result in faithful customers as well as future joint venture partners.

Before you start thinking that organizing an internet marketing seminar is an impossible task, think again. With a little planning and some solid logistical support, you’ll be able to conduct an event like this quite easily. Here are some steps you should take.

1. Choose a subject you wish to focus on. This subject should be defined sufficiently for discussion. Basic lessons, techniques, tips and overviews will be necessary for your internet marketing seminar.

2. Try to determine if you could discuss the subject yourself. Be honest. Do you have the requisite public speaking skills for the job? If not, you should invite speakers from the internet marketing industry to discuss the topic before your audience. If you have an “upline” that shines and makes the “big bucks” then it’s time to call on them for help!
3. Determine where you want to hold your event. A densely populated locality would be a great option. But the place where most of your mailing list’s subscribers are located would be an excellent option as well, to guarantee you the audience you need.

4. Find a suitable venue in the place where you have decided to hold your seminar. This could be a ballroom of a hotel, a university’s conference hall, or even a convention center if you’re planning to invite more than 500 people. You’ll probably have to reserve the venue at least 3 months in advance.

5. Prepare the program of your event. If you will have several speakers, make sure that there will be an open forum after each segment to give your audience the chance to ask their questions.

6. Determine if you want to charge an entrance fee for the event. You could choose to earn from the gate receipts, of course. The price would be dependent on your overhead expenses as well as how renowned your speakers are. However, it is also a good idea to offer your seminar for free, especially if your expenses aren’t that big. This way, you’d be able to attract more people to whom you could efficiently promote your products.

7. Market your event as you would a digital product.

The logistical difficulty would depend on the magnitude of the event you will be organizing. For starters, you should keep things small, to help you gain the necessary experience. Once your efforts prove successful, you could start organizing bigger events involving bigger personalities in the online marketing scene. As you begin to shine, you’ll be surprised to see how many people contact YOU to get “in the show!”

Internet marketing seminars are excellent marketing options that should leave your audience fully satisfied, and your business fully invigorated with newfound vigor and hopefully, lots of new team members and prospects.

In the beginning there was the marketer. There are certain truths you come to understand the more time you spend making money online – or trying to.

Witness the evolution of marketing online. Whether you are new to the net game or an experienced pro, there is one thing you will have in common if you are moving towards entrepreneurial success.

For starters, most established markets will already be using this by default:

–    A Domain: something specific to what you want to promote like (ex.www.mysite.com)

–    Hosting: a place to put your site, if you’re planning on making money – find a paid solution so you look like a credible business and you cut back on high traffic crashes.

–    A website: your image your presence and your marketing message, don’t get pulled into the trap I see everywhere of trying to put too many choices on your website.  Maximize on the effectiveness by only giving one purpose to a page. For example if you want to build a list – focus all your efforts and copy on that singular focus, if you want your site to  sell a product, then only put that focus on your site. You’ll also need a good editing program, and an ftp software to get this up and moving.

–    A merchant account: If you have something to sell, people will need a way to pay you. There are a ton of great providers out there, but there are a specific few that give your visitors the security to pull out a credit card with assurance.

–    An Autoresponder: This is a real necessity if you want a business and not just a hobby. When you have a family to support this is a real no brainer. This is your email follow up service. You get a name added to your list and this is where they go. You will use this to stay in touch and build relationships with your customers and soon-to-be customers.

–    A helpdesk: in the beginning when your business and sales are small you can handle all the little questions and emails yourself. One of the things that will keep a small business is small is thinking “I can do that myself” if you want to truly grow; you need to share the workload (petty tasks) and focus on what you truly want to do creatively for your business.

–    Membership Site software: once you’re addicted to the internet marketing lifestyle, you will realize this oh-so-simple fact, it’s great to make a sale, but it’s even better to make a sale once and get paid for it every month. Continuity is king.

–    Teleconferencing software: If you want an easy way to create and crank out high ticket products, audios and a transcript is an easy to make, high-value product.
